As a child, she was inspired to learn guitar by her grandfather, who played flamenco guitar. She later studied with renowned guitarist John McClellan at Webster University in St. Louis. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Music in Guitar Performance. Devin has studied with Olivier Chassain (Professor of Guitar at the Paris Conservatory) on numerous occasions in St. Louis and France. She has participated in masterclasses with artists including Ana Vidovic, Christopher Parkening, Sergio and Odair Assad, Gaëlle Solal, and others. While in college, Devin taught as a Childbloom Instructor at the Childbloom Program of St. Charles County. She moved to Montana in 2017, and started the Billings Childbloom Program in 2022.
